GIANLUCA
CAPPELLINI

DRIVER / MANAGER

In 1990, talent certified by the CSAI Federal School in driving F3 single-seaters, but recommended a career in touring cars due to height reasons.  

Instructor of sports driving at GuidarePilotare School from 2001 to 2011.

  He made his debut in the Italian Touring Car Championship (CIVT) driving a Peugeot 205 GTI. The highlight of his career came in 1993, with the Peugeot 309 16V GTI, with which he won the Italian Peugeot Cup Championship in the N4 class and dominated in torrential rain at Mugello and Misano. He then moved to the N1 category with the Ford Escort Cosworth, securing a podium finish at Mugello with a thrilling photo finish, pure adrenaline.  

At the top of the memories, the victory at the Motorshow in Bologna with the Peugeot 106 in 1997, defeating the reigning Champion and being awarded alongside the official drivers.

CAPPELLINI

DRIVER / MANAGER

During his university studies, he follows his brother on all the tracks of the Italian Touring Car Championship (CIVT), studies the technical aspects, gets the opportunity to work as a safe driving instructor thanks to Gianluca, and dreams of one day racing an endurance race with him.  

In 2003, he was hired at the Bridgestone Europe Technical Center in Rome as a Track Testing Engineer. He completed a two-year course for the subjective evaluation of tire behavior in handling and took the GuidarePilotare course in 2004.  

In 2015, he accepts a new challenge abroad and is hired by Hankook Europe as a subjective test driver at the Idiada Proving Ground near Barcelona.  

At the top of the memories, the pole position at Montmelo' with the Clio III in the Spanish Endurance Championship (CER) and the victory in race 2 at Aragon with the Clio IV in the Aragonese Federation Trophy (FADA) in 2018.
